Julia Rhodes is an Intern for the Tech Innovation team at NDI. Julia will soon graduate from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service with an Honors degree in Culture & Politics and a concentration in critical theories of technology. At Georgetown, she worked as a research assistant and contributed to co-writing an academic article that analyzed the intersections between commercial drones, human rights, and technology in North Korea. Julia also spent time in Seoul, South Korea, developing social media operating procedures for a nonprofit organization and studying at Yonsei University. Aside from Korea-related projects, Julia has interned at the White House in the Office of Public Engagement for Vice President Biden. Also on Capitol Hill, she worked for Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, where she assisted the foreign policy team. Lastly, Julia has interned for Senator Christopher Coons, of her home state Delaware, in his Wilmington and Washington offices. Julia is excited to combine her government and grassroots experiences at NDItech.
